Digital smile design in San José: what does planning involve?
At OG Center, smile design is an evaluation and planning process, not an automatic decision to place veneers. We begin by discussing what you would like to change. Your proposal should explain which treatments are being considered, why they are appropriate and what their limitations are.
Images and digital design help communicate goals. A simulation is not a promise of a result: the clinical plan, your tissues and your individual progress influence what can be achieved.
What to discuss at your consultation
Bring your questions, information about previous treatments and examples of what you like, without expecting to copy another person’s smile exactly. Ask about the evaluation, alternatives and scope of each procedure before deciding.

Not every smile needs the same treatment
Tooth position
Orthodontics aims to change tooth position and address bite problems. Explore our invisible orthodontics with clear aligners. The choice depends on a professional evaluation, not only on aesthetic preference.
Color and appearance
Professional whitening and aesthetic restorations are different options. An evaluation helps identify the change you are seeking and the appropriate approach. A treatment should not be chosen solely because of the shade shown in a photograph.
Veneers and restorations
Veneers cover the front surface of teeth. They may require enamel preparation and need maintenance or replacement; they should not be described as always reversible. The condition of your teeth and gums is assessed before planning them.

Missing teeth or more extensive rehabilitation

Digital planning and our in-house laboratory
OG Center has Primescan intraoral scanning, Exocad design, milling and 3D printing. Your clinician selects the appropriate resources for your case and coordinates the work with our dental laboratory.

Design, trial and approval of your plan
Ask whether your case requires photographs, digital records or an aesthetic trial, also called a mock-up. Each resource has a purpose and limitations. Not every plan includes the same trials or is completed in the same stages.
Before starting, clarify the agreed treatment, proposed materials, estimated appointments and follow-up.
Smile design cost: understand what you are comparing
There is no single estimate that describes every person’s needs. Request a written proposal distinguishing evaluation, planning, any relevant trials, each recommended treatment and follow-up.
If veneers or crowns are proposed, confirm the number of teeth, materials, temporary restorations and included adjustments. Ask about preparatory procedures, maintenance and current payment terms. A digital simulation, a veneer and full-mouth rehabilitation are not the same service.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need veneers to improve my smile?
Not necessarily. The consultation helps define your goals and discuss alternatives. We do not select a number of veneers before understanding your case.
Can I see results from OG Center?
Visit our smile gallery and bring your questions. Photographs show individual experiences; they do not predict your result or replace an evaluation.
How many visits will I need?
The stages depend on your plan. Confirm the schedule, trials and follow-up before arranging travel or other commitments. Not every procedure is completed in one visit.
What happens after treatment?
Ask for hygiene, review and maintenance instructions for your restorations. Care does not end with the final photograph.
