Privacy Policy

1. Responsible organization and contact

This policy explains how OG Center handles information received through ogcenter.cr and its contact channels. OG Center is a dental clinic located 200 meters south of Pops in Curridabat, corner building, San José, Costa Rica.

2. Information we receive

• Inquiries and appointments: name, email address, telephone number, language, service of interest and the content you choose to include in forms or messages.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, referral source and records needed to operate and protect the website. Measurement tools may record interactions and campaign referrals.
• Clinical information: if you request an evaluation and share medical history, photographs or studies, these may contain sensitive health data. Clinical handling requires the appropriate conditions and authorizations.
• Comments or accounts, if you use these features: profile or comment information and records needed to manage access and prevent abuse.

Required fields are identified on each form; other fields are optional. Without contact details or the minimum necessary information, we may be unable to respond or coordinate your request. Do not send full payment card numbers, passwords or clinical documents in public comments.

3. How information is used

We use information related to your request to answer questions, coordinate evaluations, provide administrative follow-up and communicate with our team. Information is also used to operate the website, prevent spam or unauthorized access, troubleshoot issues and assess the performance of our content and campaigns.

Clinical treatment and patient records serve healthcare purposes and are explained in the relevant documentation. A website inquiry does not authorize publication of your image, testimonial or clinical case. Those uses require specific authorization.

4. Consent and communications

Where consent is required, it must be informed, explicit and tied to the stated purpose. Browsing the website does not constitute consent to every use of your data. You may withdraw authorization for future uses through the contact channels above.

Messages about an inquiry or appointment are distinct from promotions. To stop promotional messages, request removal through the same channel or email [email protected]. Refusing advertising does not affect access to dental care. Withdrawal does not remove legitimate retention obligations or affect processing lawfully carried out beforehand.

5. Health information and children

Health information requires particular confidentiality. You are not required to submit sensitive information through a general website form. Specific clinical information may be needed to evaluate or treat a case; our team will explain its purpose and the appropriate way to provide it.

Inquiries and arrangements concerning minors should involve a parent or legal representative, as appropriate. If you believe a minor submitted information without the necessary involvement, contact us so we can review the situation.

6. People and providers who may access data

Depending on the service used, authorized reception and care staff, professionals handling the case and providers of hosting, email, forms, contact management, security, measurement and messaging may be involved. Access should be limited to the relevant function and applicable confidentiality obligations.

The website uses WordPress and may integrate Google tools, forms and contact management, YouTube videos, maps and WhatsApp links. Some providers process information outside Costa Rica. Transfers requiring authorization must have that authorization and comply with applicable rules. This policy does not itself provide blanket authorization for transfers or disclosure to third parties for their advertising.

Information may also be disclosed where a legal obligation or valid authority request requires it, limited to what is appropriate.

7. Cookies, measurement and external content

Cookies and similar technologies may support access, preferences, security, measurement and advertising. The features used and providers enabled determine what information is collected. Tagging and tracking tools may record visits, interactions and campaign referral sources.

You can review, block or delete cookies in your browser and use privacy controls offered by each provider. Blocking cookies may affect certain features. This page is not a consent management panel and does not guarantee that every external tool is automatically blocked before loading.

Loading a map, playing a video or opening WhatsApp or another external link may give that provider technical data under its own policies. You can review the Google and YouTube privacy policy and the WhatsApp privacy policy. Any required consent for optional uses must be obtained specifically.

8. Retention and security

Information should be retained only as long as needed for its purpose and applicable obligations. Website inquiries, security logs and clinical records may require different retention periods. When no longer needed, information should be deleted or anonymized as appropriate. You may request information about the retention period applicable to your data.

Protection requires technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information handled. No internet system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sharing sensitive information through public channels and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access or disclosure.

9. Your rights and how to exercise them

Under Costa Rican Law No. 8968, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data and exercise rights concerning its transfer. Email [email protected], stating the right you wish to exercise and how we can respond. We may request proportionate identity verification to avoid disclosing information to someone else.

Exercising these rights is free of charge, and the law provides for an appropriate decision within five business days of receiving the request. If a legal obligation prevents deletion, the reason should be explained. You may also contact Costa Rica’s Agency for the Protection of Inhabitants’ Data (PRODHAB).

10. Changes and related documents

Updates will be published here with their date. A policy change does not retroactively authorize new purposes requiring consent. Please also read our Terms of Service.
